BPPAP is a program of the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) working to pre-approve construction systems, products and materials for compliance with federal agency criteria.

BPPAP was established in 1996 under a program funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. It was  designed to Pre-Approve Manufactured Products as to their technical performance, energy efficiency, and environmental preference.
