OBJECTIVES OF BPPAP

In order to provide an effective, industry-based system for carrying out laws mandating the use of improved construction products in federal buildings, the following OBJECTIVES have been established:

• Identify various requirements for specific generic products currently found in federal guide specifications.

• Solicit test reports and other data from commercial product manufacturers demonstrating that specific commercial products meet the identified requirements.

• Review these reports and data through technical review committees to ascertain that a specific commercial product meets the identified requirements.
  Publish the list of pre-approved commercial products for distribution throughout federal government and private industry.
