SUMMARY:Nerding Out with NIBS…and NAHB! Exploring Housing Systems Certification
DESCRIPTION:The building industry is carefully scrutinizing Housing System Certification (HSC)\, as housing providers grapple with rising costs\, labor shortages\, and growing demand for new homes. HSC\, the independent verification that a housing system can consistently produce safe\, code-compliant\, high-quality homes through a controlled design\, manufacturing\, and delivery process is rapidly emerging as a promising approach to accelerate housing delivery. \nJoin us as NIBS welcomes Ivan Rupnik\, PhD\, founding partner of MOD X\, a research-based advisory and international knowledge-exchange network\, and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)’s own Devin Perry\, Assistant Vice President of Learning Content Strategy\, for an engaging discussion with two big-time home builders on how Housing System Certification can streamline permitting and approvals; provide greater certainty for builders\, manufacturers\, and developers; and support the growth of industrialized and offsite construction. Learn why many industry leaders are examining HSC as a practical\, scalable solution for addressing today’s housing challenges—and what it could mean for you and the future of housing delivery.
