BI2021 Technology Sessions to Cover AI, BIM, 3D and Off-Site Construction

The NIBS virtual meeting will feature nearly 30 sessions over three days

(WASHINGTON, DC, August 24, 2021) – The National Institute of Building Sciences has a powerful Technology track lineup for Building Innovation 2021: Virtual Edition.

BI2021 takes place September 27-29, 2021. The NIBS annual meeting allows everyone who impacts the built environment to discuss challenges and find solutions. In addition to technology, BI2021 will include two other tracks: workplace and resilience.

“Technology is a huge part of Building Innovation,” said Lakisha A. Woods, CAE, President and CEO of NIBS. “This is where the building industry comes to learn about new technology, trends, and best practices. These sessions will carry the built environment to new levels of safety, efficiency and sustainability.”

Technology session highlights include:

Keynote speakers will include Renee Cheng, Dean, University of Washington College of Built Environments; Edward Mazria, FAIA, Founder & CEO, Architecture 2030; Daniel Kaniewski, Managing Director, Public Sector, Marsh McLennan Advantage; Jamie Gentoso, P.E., MBA, Global Head of Solutions & Products Business Unit, Holcim; and Thomas W. Smith, III, ENV SP, CAE, F.ASCE, Executive Director, American Society of Civil Engineers.
