Building Innovation 2020: Virtual Edition Technology Sessions to Feature Modular Multifamily Housing

The annual meeting of the National Institute of Building Sciences takes place August 18-19

(WASHINGTON, DC, July 29, 2020) – The pandemic has raised the stakes on building technology that already was constantly evolving.

From virtual design and construction for facilities management to innovative structure monitoring technologies to validate and visualize building enclosure performance, this and more will be covered in the technology sessions of Building Innovation 2020: Virtual Edition.

The annual meeting of the National Institute of Building Sciences takes place August 18-19.

“Technology keeps the building industry moving forward,” says Lakisha A. Woods, CAE, President and CEO of NIBS. “Our Building Innovation speakers will present cutting-edge content around the construction and management of smart, energy-efficient, and secure structures.”

The technology keynote will be delivered by Evan Loomis, Co-Founder and Chairman of ICON.

In 3D Printing as a New Paradigm for Affordable, Resilient Housing, Loomis will discuss how ICON is using robotics, software and advanced materials to bring affordable and dignified housing to people affected by disasters.
