Dr. Georgia Lagoudas is a Senior Fellow at the Brown University School of Public Health Pandemic Center in DC. She leads indoor air quality policy work with partners across academia, government, nonprofit, and industry. Lagoudas was previously a Senior Advisor for Biotechnology and Bioeconomy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. During her time at the White House, she led the implementation of an Executive Order on Advancing the American Bioeconomy, as well as launching a White House Initiative to improve indoor air quality. She coordinated the federal government’s effort to advance clean indoor air to reduce disease transmission during the COVID pandemic. Lagoudas also served as a science advisor at the Department of State and the U.S. Senate. She earned her PhD in biological engineering from MIT and her bachelor of science degree in bioengineering from Rice University.
