Iwan Kinal is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York. Kinal has been working with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority – NY for more than 17 years in various roles, including as a civil/structural design engineer as well as working in the Design Management office on various projects. Kinal also served as a BIM Champion for the civil discipline for many years and as a modeler on several early MTA BIM projects. In his current role as Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Systems and Applications in the Construction and Development Delivery Services Office, Kinal is responsible for managing Engineering Technology and Project Management applications, such as CADD/BIM/Digital Twins, for the entire MTA Capital Program. Kinal received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University.
