Scott Yates is the Director of Digital Transformation in the Advisory Services group at Woolpert, a leading architectural, engineering, and geospatial firm. In his role, his focus is with accelerating digital transformation and data interoperability in support of asset management across the entire asset life cycle.

Yates has provided asset management expertise to organizations across a myriad of industries for 20 years. This includes work at over 20 North American airports, as well as organizations in the life sciences, transportation, manufacturing, and energy industries.

Yates is the Data Chair for the Airports Workgroup of buildingSMART USA. He believes the future of asset management is geospatial-based, mobile-enabled, AI-driven and plugged in to smart assets via IoT. Yates understands the most critical success factor for integration of these technologies is the adoption by the people they are meant to serve and that one of the most effective means for organizational change management is providing simple, data driven processes and solutions.
