Vivek Srikrishnan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological & Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. He researches climate risk management through reducing future greenhouse gas emissions and adaptation to climate-driven hazards, with a particular focus on how Earth-system and socioeconomic uncertainties influence the success of these strategies. The primary application areas of his research are the reliability of the electric power system and flood risk management. Vivek obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Energy & Mineral Engineering from Penn State University, and holds B.S. and B.A. degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy, respectively, from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
