NIBS CEO Lakisha A. Woods to Chair ASAE Research Foundation Board

Woods joins other nominees, who will serve on the ASAE and ASAE Foundation boards of directors, beginning September 1, 2021

(WASHINGTON, DC, July 7, 2021) – National Institute of Building Sciences President and CEO Lakisha A. Woods, CAE, has been nominated to become Chair-Elect of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Board of Directors and Chair of the ASAE Research Foundation Board.

Woods joins other nominees, including Steven C. Anderson, FASAE, IOM, CAE, President and CEO, National Association of Chain Drug Stores, who will become Chair of the ASAE Board, and Lynda J. Patterson, FASAE, CAE, President and Owner, AMPED Association Management, who will serve as the new Secretary-Treasurer. Service begins at the start of fiscal 2022 on September 1.

“I believe that the ASAE Research Foundation is one of the great resources available to us as association leaders,” Woods says. “It’s my honor to serve in this capacity as they continue to develop groundbreaking research.”

Woods also currently serves as Vice Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council Board of Directors, where she previously served as Secretary/Treasurer. She was re-elected to a three-year term with the U.S. Green Building Council board in February.
