The National Institute of Building Sciences has launched a membership campaign to raise awareness, recruit new members, and engage members who long have supported our mission and success.

#ThisIsNIBS features testimonial videos by members, sharing their favorite part of being in our community.

This week, we spoke with Anne Ellis, Executive Director with the Charles Pankow Foundation.

Ellis’s career has been focused on infusing innovation into projects, programs, and business strategies. She’s served in many roles, including president of the American Concrete Institute, and board member of NIBS and the Structural Engineering Institute Futures Fund.

Ellis says she’s an active and proud member of the NIBS board.

“NIBS is the only place that I know of in the industry where members across the value chain come together – whether it be owners, designers, builders, members of the supply chain and other interested parties – they come together,” she said. “NIBS is where big problems can be solved.”

NIBS also recently launched a brand new nibs.org website. Part of the site launch includes the Engage platform, which allows members to connect on new and ongoing projects. Engage also allows NIBS council members to share documents, meeting minutes, and other important material with one another in a safe location.
