Tammy Rice serves as an Operations Management Administrator with the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS). Tammy brings over 20 years of experience in project coordination and operational support, with a strong background in managing complex workflows, streamlining processes, and supporting federal programs. Prior to joining NIBS, she held multiple roles at Michael Baker International, where she managed office operations, strengthened cross-functional collaboration, enhanced team performance, led the coordination of federal proposal efforts. Tammy is known for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to create systems that boost team productivity and streamline operations.
Tammy manages the ProjNetTM system on behalf of NIBS. ProjNetTM, developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, is a secure, web-based platform used by federal agencies and other organizations to streamline design review processes. Tammy serves as the primary liaison for ProjNetTM users, ensuring smooth operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting the platform’s continued success across a range of federal programs. She also plays a key role in the oversight of daily operations at NIBS headquarters, ensuring effective internal communication and that the team is equipped to deliver on the Institute’s mission.
Established by the United States Congress, NIBS’ mission is to serve the public interest by advancing building science and technology to improve the built environment.
