Nicole Vargas is the Sentinel Infrastructure Design Criteria Integration Lead at the National Institute of Building Sciences. In this role, she supports the development, coordination, and delivery of engineering and facility design criteria for the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program.
Previously, Nicole supported the design and construction of Sentinel test facilities at Northrop Grumman, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders. She drove compliance with FAR requirements, UFC specifications, and Sentinel Program protocols, while implementing quality control and risk management processes across construction sites. Nicole also led the Command & Launch Construction team’s document management system, ensuring configuration control, traceability, and version integrity for drawings, specifications, construction submittals, and site permits throughout the project lifecycle.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and an Engineering Leadership Certification from the University of Central Florida.
