Nolan Browne is the CEO of ADL Ventures and an innovation executive specializing in Industrialized Construction (IC) and the commercialization of legacy-industry technologies. A five-time founder, Nolan co-authored and co-led the DOE’s Advanced Building Construction (ABC) Collaborative, a $225 million initiative designed to accelerate building decarbonization and IC methodologies. He currently leads a number of strategic initiatives around AI / digitization and industrialization of construction with major developers and owners within the federal government and various corporate partners.
In his role at ADL Ventures, he combines his deep background in CleanTech and ConTech commercialization for the Fortune 1000 with extensive experience in scaling AI solutions to help leading companies bridge the gap between digital innovation and the built environment. Previously, he co-founded the Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems at MIT, where he raised $22.5 million to launch the lab and developed a $26 million “Living Laboratory” for building energy efficiency.
His leadership spans diverse hard-tech sectors, including serving as CEO of General Radar Corporation and Innovation Chairman for Sto Corp., where he pioneered open innovation platforms for advanced building materials. Nolan has worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Energy and National Laboratories to transform the building industry through technology. He holds an MBA from MIT and an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS.
