Katherine Johnson

Katherine Johnson is a Social Scientist who works on natural hazards risk mitigation at the Engineering Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Her projects currently focus on improving post-earthquake functional recovery performance, enhancing hurricane-related emergency communications, and applying social science best practices to inform next-generation building codes and standards.
