NIBS
Garth Patterson is the Contracts Manager providing contract management expertise in support of NIBS’ entire portfolio of awards. He is a contracting professional and public procurement specialist with over sixteen years of experience in the field of federal contract and grant management. Prior to joining the Foreign Service in 2015, he worked at the Academy for Educational Development as a program associate and at Abt Associates Inc. where he was Finance and Contract Analyst supporting large agribusiness and trade competitiveness contracts in Mozambique and Tanzania. He then joined USAID’s Office of Food for Peace where he was part of the Grants Management Services Team for the federal government’s largest humanitarian assistance program. During his foreign service career he was a contracting officer in Jordan and Deputy Director of the contracting office in Liberia.
He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College with a BA in Economics and Political Science and the University of Oxford with an M.Phil in Economic and Social History.
