Prior to joining NIBS, Robert was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte’s Infrastructure, Strategy, and Real Estate practice, where he supported public and private sector clients across the built environment. Robert helped advise and develop solutions for clients on key topics including capital planning, asset management, construction strategy, project delivery, and the implementation of emerging technologies across facilities and infrastructure. 

With more than six years of experience in construction and infrastructure consulting, Robert has worked across the project and asset lifecycle, from field construction and preconstruction through capital planning and facility operations. At Deloitte, he helped advance technology-enabled approaches to asset management and predictive maintenance, including condition-based monitoring, smart building systems, sensor deployment, and data-driven capital planning. He also supported the development of the Expected Beneficial Life approach, which connects facility condition with long-term capital investment decisions.

Robert previously worked with Hensel Phelps Construction Company, where he gained hands-on experience in construction management, project controls, estimating, scheduling, field operations, and subcontractor coordination. His responsibilities included managing field installation across contracting crews and supporting projects throughout bidding, construction, and closeout.

Robert earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. His industry thought leadership has focused on infrastructure asset management and emerging technology, including From Assessment to Action: The Expected Beneficial Life Approach and Supercharging Asset Longevity with IoT Sensors and AI.
