Joan O’Neil is the Chief Knowledge Officer & Executive Vice President for the International Code Council leading the content and services business, including ICC’s Publishing and Digital Codes, Codification, Community Development, and the ICC Innovation brand. Joan directs strategic partnerships, drives revenue growth, develops new products, and leads digital transformation. Joan directs the strategy of ICC Digital Codes Premium platform and AI Navigator – serving more than ten million annual users as the trusted, authoritative resource for building safety professionals.
Previously, she served as Vice President of Skillsoft Corporation, Digital Solutions, the global eLearning provider reaching forty-five million professionals of Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that she was Executive Vice President for Wiley’s Knowledge & Learning Business Group, where she developed strategies to lead the organization’s digital learning and publishing enterprise.
Joan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Communications and Theater Arts from Saint Joseph’s College. She earned a Finance for Executives Certificate from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and is the recipient of Wiley President’s Award for performance and leadership. Joan is a member of the Marymount School of New York Board of Trustees, and a Board Member of the SolarAPP+ Foundation with a mission of automating permitting in the energy sector. Joan is based in New York City.
