Stephen DeVito, CM-BIM, is Director of Technology at Procon, an ENR-ranked engineering, technology, and construction management firm serving federal and institutional owners. He has spent 19 years applying information science to the built environment, working with large facility owners including the U.S. General Services Administration to build out its National BIM program and to shape the GSA BIM Guide Series and the BIM requirements embedded in P-100 and in design, construction, CM, and facility management contracts. His current focus spans digital twins, reality capture, and COBie/CMMS data workflows that keep as-built information usable through operations. He is the Procon collaborator and project executive behind MARIO, the Multi-Agent Robotic System for Inspection On Site, developed with Dr. Kereshmeh Afsari’s ARCADE Lab at Virginia Tech’s Myers-Lawson School of Construction, which coordinates humanoid, quadruped, and aerial robots for remote construction progress monitoring and live, AI-powered digital twins. He holds a B.S. in Information Science and Technology from Drexel University
